Versatile event space at The Rooftop Lehi: Creative ways to use the Skylight Room

At The Rooftop Lehi, we love how our spaces transform to meet your needs—and the Skylight Room is one of the most versatile gems in our venue. With its soft natural light and tucked-away charm, it's been the backdrop for everything from corporate offsites to bounce houses during wedding receptions. If you're planning an event in Utah County, here are just a few ways this flexible space has been used—and how it might be perfect for your next gathering.

A stunning entrance to your ceremony

While the wedding ceremony itself takes place outside in the Courtyard, the Skylight Room plays an essential role in the overall experience. The two spaces connect seamlessly—chairs are often set up in the Skylight Room, creating an aisle that extends directly into the Courtyard. With the doors open, the Skylight Room and Courtyard function as one large, flowing space. Guests seated inside have a clear view of the ceremony and feel fully included in the moment. Couples often decorate the Skylight Room with florals, bows on chairs, or other personal touches, making it a beautiful and intentional part of their ceremony design.

A warm welcome the night before your wedding

Some couples choose to host a relaxed dinner or welcome gathering the night before the wedding—and the Skylight Room is an ideal space for that. Whether you're welcoming out-of-town guests, gathering close friends and family, or simply want a calm moment before the big day, the room offers a private and comfortable setting. Bring in your favorite food, decorate as little or as much as you like, and enjoy the kickoff to your wedding weekend.

Bounce house fun during receptions

Yes, really! Some of our couples have gotten creative with how they use the Skylight Room during their wedding reception. One of our favorite ideas? Setting up a bounce house in the space to keep the little guests entertained while the adults celebrate. It’s such a fun surprise and a great way to make your wedding feel inclusive and family-friendly. With the Skylight Room just a few steps away from the main reception area, it’s easy to keep an eye on the fun without disrupting the flow of your event.

Quiet play spaces for kids

If a bounce house feels a little too rowdy, the Skylight Room also works beautifully as a quiet space for kids to relax and play. Several couples have set up coloring stations, craft tables, or simple game corners with toys and activities to keep little ones occupied during the reception. It’s thoughtful, low-key, and so appreciated by parents who want to enjoy the evening while knowing their kids are happily engaged nearby.

Sweet celebrations: baby showers & bridal showers

The Skylight Room has quickly become a favorite for intimate showers and milestone celebrations. The white walls, large windows, and airy feel make it easy to decorate for any theme—from soft and serene baby showers to chic, floral-filled bridal showers. It’s a great space for setting up a treat table, drink station, games, gifts, and photo ops with plenty of natural light. Plus, we offer special pricing just for showers—you can find all the details here.
